
MOBILE, Ala. – The State of Alabama has activated Alabama Task Force-1 to provide floodwater support efforts in Texas. An 8-person, type-3 swift water team made of Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Urban Search & Rescue Specialists will mobilize today at 11:00 AM.
With an anticipated 12:00 PM departure time, the team will embark for San Antonio, Texas, where they will report to a staging area to await assignment and deployment.
The team is currently expected to be on a 7-day mission to provide aid, but the mission could be extended depending on need for additional assistance.
