Apartment Fire at Inverness Lakes

7:42 PM: Crews har discovered the base of the fire and have the fire under control. Incident Command advised that teams will remain on scene to perform overhaul and search for hot spots.

No injuries have been reported.

7:12 PM: MFRD crews are on scene of an apartment fire at Inverness Lakes (6700 Cottage Hill Rd), where reports were received of flames and sparks showing between the 1st and 2nd floor near the laundry room.

Engine 6 and Truck 5 arrived to discover smoke present in a 2-story apartment structure. Flames were confirmed present between floors.

Search teams confirmed that occupants safely evacuated the building.
