Apartment Fire on McPhillips Avenue

UPDATE (7:27 PM): Incident Command advises that the fire is successfully under control. There have been no reports of injuries to firefighters or civilians. The status of the rescued pet is currently unknown.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.

MFRD units are on scene of an apartment fire on McPhillips Avenue between Dauphin Street and Brown Street. Fire personnel arrived to discover large quantities of smoke present in a 2-story apartment building.

Search & rescue crews were able to rescue a family dog from the structure, while suppression teams actively work to extinguish fire.

This is a developing incident.
