MFRD Responds to Vertex Energy Monday

The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department responded to a call for service on Monday, August 3, 2026, shortly after 2:00 p.m. at Vertex Energy. The call was in reference to a male individual suffering a medical emergency while working on a 60ft. tank.

Mobile Fire-Rescue, along with the assistance of Saraland Fire Department and Vertex personnel, were on scene within minutes to assist. MFRD crews were able to reach the individual and lower him to the ground, but unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased on scene.
