The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department (MFRD) is hosting its quarterly Smoke Alarm Blitz on Tuesday, August 4th from 4:00-8:00 PM in the Willow Brook Run community.
So far in 2026, MFRD personnel have installed more than 400 working smoke alarms and greater than 50 carbon monoxide detectors in homes in the City of Mobile. Along with educating citizens on fire safety, these additional layers of fire protection ensure lives are proactively protected from fires in homes.
The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department remains committed to ensuring the safety of the citizens of Mobile through community risk assessment, rapid, emergency response, and risk reduction through programs like the Smoke Alarm Blitz.
