HazMat Response at APM Terminal

9:27 PM: Chemical identified as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether. MFRD reaponse teams have isolated the leak.

Crews and APM Terminal staff were able to successfully contain the chemical on board the ship. It is not believed that runoff entered any area waterways.

8:45 PM: MFRD is currently working a hazardous materials incident at APM Terminal at 901 Ezra Trice Boulevard.

An uncontained spill of a currently unidentified chemical is leaking from a 20-foot container.

Mobile County EMA and the US Coast Guard have been notified. This is a developing incident.
