BECOMING A PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER
KIND OF WORK
Specialized work in the operations of Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Communications System. Responsible for operating a computer aided dispatch system, central departmental radio, and alarm equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 17 years of age
- Type 30 words a minute
- Ability to write legibly, using proper grammar
- High School diploma or equivalent
CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION PROCESS
- Written Examination
- Typing Examination
- Oral Examination/Interview
