Africatown Welcome Center Info Meeting

Residents, community stakeholders, and interested visitors are invited to attend an informational meeting on July 16 to receive an update on the continued progress of the highly anticipated Africatown Welcome Center.
Designed to serve as a gateway to one of America's most significant cultural and historical destinations, the Africatown Welcome Center will provide residents and visitors with a solid starting point to help tell the community’s story. Featuring photographs and other artifacts, the center will guide visitors to other cultural and historical sites in Africatown.
City representatives will be on hand to share project updates. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how they can play an active role in preserving and sharing Africatown's story for generations to come.
