Hurricane Response Marine Debris Removal Fund
This partnership between the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program awards grants to assess, remove and dispose of marine debris caused by severe storms. The City of Mobile will use this funding to remove derelict vessels from Mobile's waterways.
Mobile Museum of Art's HVAC Chiller
The Daniel Foundation of AL awarded the Mobile Museum of Art a $95,000 challenge grant to purchase an HVAC chiller to meet the Museum's need for a reliable, modern climate control system to ensure the safety of their collection of over 6,400 works of art, the foundation of their programming.
12-Passenger Bus for SAIL Program
The Parks & Recreation Department received a $105,000 Mobile Urban Area FTA 5310 grant from the South Alabama Regional Planning Commission to purchase a 12-passenger bus for their SAIL Program for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. The SAIL Program includes social and recreational activities, health & fitness classes, educational and enrichment programs and more.
