MOBILE IS GOING TO THE DOGS! –More than a Thousand Dogs to Compete at the Gulf Coast Classic Dog Show- The annual Gulf Coast Classic Dog Show will be returning to Mobile, AL in 2019 after a decade! The Mobile Kennel Club and other clubs have joined forces once again to bring dog lovers a week of exciting canine competitions. More than 1,000 dogs will get a chance to strut their stuff in the Show Ring. Meet and greet a variety of different dog breeds. Visitors can learn about responsible dog ownership and speak with breeders, owners and exhibitors. (ALL DAYS) • Watch the judging of various breeds in Conformation and cheer for your favorite. (ALL DAYS) • See young owner-handlers compete against their peers in the Junior Showmanship Competition. (ALL DAYS) • Watch dogs test their natural instincts as they try to find a rat hidden in a tube in a maze of hay bales in the exciting sport of Barn Hunt. (ALL DAYS) • See dogs chase a lure that simulates the unpredictability of chasing live prey in Lure Coursing. (ALL DAYS) • Watch dog’s test their natural scenting instincts in Scent Work Trials.
